Interactive Language Show – Real People, Real Challenges, Real Language

Ecolinguist LIVE is a bold, unscripted livestream show where language lovers come together to explore, challenge, and celebrate linguistic diversity. Hosted by Norbert (and later joined by Lucas from Brazil), the show invites viewers to call in, take part in real-time language experiments, and experience how language learning can be social, surprising, and deeply human.

Ecolinguist LIVE is not a language class – it’s a language adventure.
Each episode features spontaneous challenges, unscripted conversations, community participation, and the joy of trying (and sometimes failing) in new languages. Whether you speak five languages or just one, you’re welcome to join the ride.

🌀 Show Format by Season

Season 1 – The Raw Beginning (22 Episodes)

Hosted by Norbert

  • Improvised challenges and in-the-moment language games

  • Featured guests from previous Ecolinguist videos, polyglots, and surprise callers

  • Topics included mutual intelligibility, language learning, constructed and ancient languages, and more

  • Vibrant, loose, and fun – like hanging out in a virtual language café

Season 2 – The Call-in Era (10 Episodes)

  • More structured format, focusing on viewer call-ins

  • Fewer invited guests, more community-driven participation

  • Live reactions, language puzzles, and interactive segments

  • Emphasis on making space for newcomers and fans to contribute directly


Season 3 – Passing the Mic (10 Episodes)

  • Lucas from Brazil joined as co-host
  • Episodes alternated weekly between Norbert and Lucas
  • Continued viewer call-ins, but also introduced:
  • Pre-recorded language challenges submitted by the audience
  • AI-generated voice challenges to mix things up
  • A true community effort, blending technology and human curiosity

⏸️ Is It Still On?

The show is currently on hold as Ecolinguist Academy builds momentum. The plan is to bring Ecolinguist LIVE back stronger, better organized, and with more ways for the community to support, suggest content, and contribute.
